Up Close 'n Personal with GREAT WHITES, WHALES, PEGUINS, OSTRICH'S....& MUK MUK'S

Going WEST........through the SUNSHINE COAST

The CAGE attached to the boat. Jason, Chris & Alanna's "JAWS" experience!

It's SHARK WEEK, AUG 6TH near SEAL ISLAND. This is the ONLY place in the world where sharks BREACH the water.

Getting ready for the HEAD TO HEAD challenge with the GREAT WHITE SHARKS! How sharp can their teeth really be?

4.5 m in lenth, this GREAT WHITE looked double it's size under the water!

Die hard FISHERMAN, WET SUIT & all!

We were fortunate to see 3 WHALES, less than 5m from this point.

HERMONAS - WHALES reach within 10m of this bay, ideal breeding grounds. BABY WHALES are born in these waters.

King of the world or professional poser?

It's .....MUK MUK retired from the Winter Olympics & migrated to S Africa to catch some rays.

There used to be millions of peguins that lived here, now only thousands remain.

There parties THIS WAY!

Injured? There's more than enough ALOE VERA here to cure a village!

SIGNAL HILL, Cape Town

CAMPS BAY, Cape Town coastline

Introducing, my friend ...Happy Feet

Brian's got some BIG BALLS!

BOULDER BEACH - Home of the African PENGUINS! Beware, their "waddle" is intimidating, especially when they travel in packs! They like to "SHOW OFF" by jumping or diving off the boulders into the ocean.

Attempting to fly-out-to-sea!

CAPE OF GOOD HOPE - The most South - Western point in AFRICA!

Eating OSTRICH is very common in S Africa. It tastes like a "lean, mean, fighting machine"

CAPE POINT - Exactly where the ATLANTIC Ocean meets the INDIAN Ocean. OSTRICHES seem to perfer hanging out in this area, it's breezy, cool & vegetation is plentiful.

The depot will never again be the same without the 592 LOUD, sometimes WHINY, always LAUGHING, SEA OF GREEN.....Thanks Volunteers!

Team Liason Officer for URAGUAY, Pablo (in the middle). #1 TLO known to chang his mind on a regular basis. He would request 2 vehicles in 5 minutes, then 1 minute later ask "where's my 5 vehicles, I need them in 2 minutes"

Thanks SAM & GRAY for enlightening us about your culture & way of life. You are free spirits & your laugh is CONTAGIOUS. You're willingness to help out in any way made a difference.
